When you book with me, your date is reserved exclusively for you. Because I accept a limited number of sessions and weddings each year, this policy helps ensure fairness and clarity for everyone.

Retainers & Payments
All bookings require a non-refundable retainer to secure your date.
This retainer:
- Reserves your time on my calendar
- Covers planning and preparation
- Secures any necessary travel arrangements or accommodations related to your session or wedding
- Is applied toward your total investment
Because I often begin preparing immediately — including coordinating logistics and travel when needed — retainers are non-refundable.
Remaining balances are due prior to your session date, as outlined in your signed contract.
Retainers and paid balances are non-refundable except in the rare case of full image loss due to equipment failure or acts of God (see “Image Loss” below).
Weddings & Elopements
Wedding and elopement dates are reserved well in advance, and other inquiries are often turned away once your date is secured.
- The retainer is non-refundable.
- All payments made are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
- If you need to reschedule, I will make every effort to accommodate a new date based on availability.
If I am unavailable for the requested new date, the original contract terms remain in effect.
Engagement & Heirloom Sessions
(Family, maternity, newborn, seniors, couples)
Life happens — especially with weather and little ones.
Rescheduling
- One complimentary reschedule is allowed with at least 48 hours’ notice.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability.
- Additional reschedules may require a rescheduling fee.
Cancellation
If you choose to cancel entirely, all payments made are non-refundable.
Late Arrival Policy
Your session time is reserved specifically for you.
- If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without communication, a late arrival fee may apply.
- Late arrivals may result in reduced shooting time.
- If there is no communication and arrival is significantly delayed, the session may be considered a cancellation.
If you’re running behind, simply email or text as soon as possible so I can adjust when I’m able.
Emergency Coverage
If I am unable to photograph your session due to illness or unforeseen emergency:
- A trusted and approved replacement photographer may be arranged
or - A full refund will be issued if coverage cannot be secured.
If a serious emergency impacts delivery timelines, a brief extension of the gallery delivery window may apply.
Image Loss (Extremely Rare)
In the unlikely event that images are lost due to equipment failure, theft, memory card corruption, or acts of God:
- A full refund will be issued if all images are lost.
- A prorated refund will be issued if partial loss occurs.
Compensation in these cases is strictly financial and limited to the amount paid.
